Favourable growing conditions and diligent farming practice ensured the industry was successful, solidifying its place as a product of true cultural significance.

A prized wood and national treasure, Taiwanese Hinoki is celebrated both as a construction material and for its beneficial health properties. To achieve a higher quality and more defined scent Subtle Bodies incense uses top grade wood carefully selected from left over cosmetic grade logs. Unlike other incense on the market, their Japanese style sticks have only two ingredients; the fragrant wood as their name suggests and a natural binding wood from either Machilus thunbergii, Litsea glutinosa or Phoebe zhennan.
