1. Are flower essences the same as herbal tinctures or essential oils?
No, flower remedies are scentless and are taken internally in the form of liquid drops under the tongue. They are not herbal medicine - they are bioenergetic, vibrational medicine. Unlike herbal tinctures, they don’t act on a physical or biochemical level, they work subtly, supporting the energetic and emotional body.

2. How long have flower essences been around for?
Indigenous Australians used flowers for emotional and physical healing, in addition to many ancient civilisations. This method of treatment was rediscovered in the 1930′s by Dr. Edward Bach, a renowned British physician who created the Bach Flower Remedies with English flowering plants. In Australia, Naturopath Ian White of Australian Bush Flower Essences further developed this method using wildflowers from all over Australia.

3. What are flower essences?
Flower essences, are vibrational infusions made from the flowering part of wild plants, bushes or trees. Our essences are strictly infused with Australian natives, we believe the healing capacity is much stronger when working with plants grown from the same soil as yourself. The flower essence is a vibrational medicine, similar to homeopathy working with the subtle, bioenergetic fields to balance emotional states by addressing the root cause.

4. Are they safe to take breastfeeding or pregnant?
Our flower essences are a safe natural remedy that people of all walks of life can take, newborn babies to elderly and everyone in between (even pets!). The remedies are suspended in a solution of purified water and brandy as a preservative. The alcohol content ingested is so minimal, similar to the naturally occurring content of ethanol found in fruit.

To minimise alcohol ingestion, you can add a few drops to hot water to evaporate the alcohol.

If you don’t like the taste, you can dilute the remedy by adding the daily dose into a bottle of spring water and sip it throughout the day (just be sure to hold some water under your tongue for a few seconds 2 x daily to enhance benefits).
