Beyond The Birth Plan
In Beyond the Birth Plan, Australian birthworker Rhea Dempsey offers an evidence-based guide to preparing emotionally, mentally, and physically for birth. Drawing on brain science, psychology, midwifery research, and the personal stories of women she has supported, Rhea shows how thoughtful preparation can reduce the risk of postnatal challenges and promote a positive birth experience.
This book explores the connection between your pre-baby life and postnatal wellbeing, helping you navigate birth education, emotional preparation, and strategies for intervention-free labour. Whether you are healing from a previous birth or planning your first, Beyond the Birth Plan equips you with the tools, insights, and confidence to approach birth with empowerment and clarity.
